Demo: replies are pre-written, not a live companion. Nothing you type leaves your browser.
If you mention suicide, violence, or a medical emergency, the companion stops role-play and points to human help.
Kairos. Tell me the load, not the brand of your resilience.

- Caregiver burden: what research knows and what it does not
Caregiver burden is the strain people report from caring for a family member over time. Large reviews find that caregivers report more depression and stress than non-caregivers, that the strain tracks the conditions of care, and that support programs improve mood more reliably than they reduce burden itself.
What we will not claim: Most of this evidence is observational: it shows association, not that caregiving causes poor health. Effects of support programs are small and uneven, and most trials involve dementia care. Caregiver burnout is not a diagnosis, and this page does not assess anyone.
