Support for caregivers

For people who keep others alive and have no language left for themselves.

In development. No groups are running and we are not enrolling yet. This is not treatment and not emergency help.

Who it is for

Family carers, nurses, social workers, and informal community responders.

How it works

The model we want to build: peer groups of other carers, plus Kairos, a companion that stays with you between meetings without turning you into a productivity dashboard. Not therapy.

What the evidence says

In reviews of support programs for carers, structured ones such as CBT or mindfulness reduced depression more often than they reduced burden. In a 2026 meta-analysis of 11 studies, peer support for dementia caregivers improved social support and quality of life, but not depression or burden. Limit: the reviews are mostly of dementia caregivers and of low methodological quality, the peer-support result has wide uncertainty; evidence on respite breaks is too thin to say they help.
